About The Greater Philadelphia RUG

ABOUT US

The Greater Philadelphia Regional User Group is Quest-affiliated User Group. We are comprised of customers and partners of PeopleSoft and JDEdwards as well as Oracle. We are mostly looking for members to share implementation strategies and product experiences. We try to help others shorten the learning curve related to PeopleSoft and JDEdwards products. Our RUG is one of the oldest user groups in the PeopleSoft community. There are 150 PeopleSoft and JDEdwards customers that belong to our group in the Greater Philadelphia area. These 150 companies represent a large segment of the most prestigious companies in the Greater Philadelphia area. We are a tight-knit group and pride ourselves on keeping in contact with each other at quarterly meetings and between meetings.

OUR MISSION

The purpose of this organization is to increase the popularity of our common interests. We hope to add new members so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want to have fun while when we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization will become even stronger.

OUR VALUE
We provide a forum for get-togethers and interesting presentations.
We share our thoughts on what should be the focus of ICAB, PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards to influence future development.
We share a common voice for our concerns with PeopleSoft and JD Edwards policies.

OUR GOALS
Most important to us is that we try to make our quarterly meetings accessible, with enough attendees and sponsors to make our group viable.
Keeping our group members educated about upcoming releases.
Provide the membership with all relevant information such as presentation power points and notes from other meetings.

WHAT CAN I DO?
The first step is to join the group by getting on the mailing list by becoming a Quest Associate Member (free) and joining the Greater Philadelphia User Group mailing list.
Encourage members of your organization to join the mailing list. Executive Sponsors, Project Leaders, Functional Analysts and Power Users might not all be joined up yet, but all have an important stake in the PeopleSoft or JD Edwards implementation, and there is no better way to get involved than to take a Thursday or Friday a couple times a year for a mini conference close to home.
Come to a meeting! Meetings are inexpensive (usually $55 - $75).

Serve on the RUG Board, a RUG committee, or speak to our group about your expert topic.

Refunds will only be given when one weeks notice before the meeting is given because without prior notice we incur the cost.
